ABOUT THE PROGRAM

  • * This is a 2 week, weekday 10am-4pm, intensive session focusing on song writing, crafting, arrangement, production; culminating in a high quality demo recording in one of NYC’s top studios, Stratosphere Sound.
  • * Stratosphere Sound is run by James Iha from Smashing Pumpkins and Adam Schlesinger from Fountains Of Wayne, where many top artists have recorded their hits, and Grammy winning recordings have been made.
  • * The first part of the session will be song-writing, song-crafting, and pre-prduction at THOR. Then you will be working with Tomato and Geoff Sanoff, Stratosphere’s main engineer, at Straotosphere on multi-tracking a demo-recording, and learn about what it takes to produce a professional demo in a pro studio. Come home with a high-quality pro-demo!
  • * The price for a 2 week session is $1,000 per student, and we will need a $300 deposit, upon registration, to secure the studio time.
  • * If you already have a band, great! But it is not required that you already have a band put together for the program; you can either start thinking of people you would like to team up with for the session ahead of time, or we will match you up with like-minded players who are at your level.
  • * THERE IS LIMITED AVAILABILITY IN EACH SESSION, SO PLEASE REGISTER AS SOON AS YOU CAN TO SECURE A SPOT!
  • * Also, let me know if you have a band that is interested in the program, but the dates do not work for the band; depending on Stratosphere’s and my availability, we will try to work around your summer schedule.
